This sophisticated dining experience is brought to you by the team behind one of Houston’s most celebrated and respected establishments, Bari Ristorante.
Setting the table with professionalism, impeccable service, ambiance, innovative design, and culinary vision, they set a new standard for dining. Industry heavyweights Pedro Teyuca and Tommy Nally alongside Master Chef Renato De Pirro are charting a bold new course for the restaurant. Georgia James features stunning private event spaces and the exclusive rooftop GJ Lounge.
Located adjacent to River Oaks and Downtown, just off Buffalo Bayou Park; Georgia James welcomes guests, serving lunch, brunch, cocktails, and dinner. The menu features an array of fresh, uncontrived new additions that position Georgia James as a Modern American steakhouse with culinary influences from the West Coast, France, and Europe. The newly updated menu mirrors the Alchemist tale of spinning simplicity into gold. Dishes that pop with fresh, top-shelf ingredients and bold flavors.
New signature dishes include Bone Marrow with pickled onions, creole mustard, toasted focaccia, bonito flakes; Ōra King Salmon with a silky beurre blanc sauce; Pan-roasted Snapper paired with marinated heirloom tomatoes, cucumber and coconut gazpacho; For a heartier option, enjoy a selection of the best cuts in Texas from R-C Ranch, and 44 Farms cooked in cast-iron skillets. Standouts include the Chateaubriand a 20 oz. 100% grass-fed Argentinian Angus, accompanied by sides like smashed & fried new potatoes drizzled in a secret sauce; brown butter roasted mushrooms; and roasted butternut squash with fine herbs. Stay for dessert and an after-dinner drink – Treat yourself to Blueberry Panna Cotta topped with berry gelée and blueberry coulis; or the comforting Apple Pear Crumble served with rum raisin ice cream; and don’t miss their staple GJ Chocolate Cake a masterpiece of salted caramel, toasted fennel ganache, and rich chocolate crémeux.
